John W. Weihe, O.D.
Coralville Office
Dr. Weihe has lived in Coralville for over 30 years, after growing up in Iowa City and graduating from City High and The University of Iowa. He received his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry with Honors. He sees patients primarily in our Coralville & North Liberty offices. His practice at Eye Associates consists of full scope primary care for the entire family and enjoys working with patients of all ages to meet their needs with contact lenses. His personal interests include skiing, golf, cooking and real estate development. When not spending time with his family, Dr. Weihe enjoys and believes in the community involvement. -
Anna M. (Waters) Dimmer, O.D.
Iowa City, Coralville, and Williamsburg Offices
Dr. Dimmer was raised in West Branch, Iowa. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Health from Iowa State University and her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. She is a member of the Iowa Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. She also serves as a board member for Main Street West Branch and on Hoover's Hometown Days volunteer committee. Outside the office, Dr. Dimmer enjoys traveling, live music, and spending time with her husband and two children. -
Jayme N. Wilhelm, O.D.
Iowa City and Coralville Offices
Dr. Wilhelm grew up in Dyersville, Iowa. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology Research from Loras College in 2003 and his Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2007. He is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Society, Iowa Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. He is a current board trustee for the Iowa Optometric Association. When not in the office, Jayme enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children. -
Nickolas J. Huisman, O.D.
Iowa City and Coralville Offices
Dr. Huisman grew up in Grundy Center, Iowa. In 2008, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and then earned his Doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry. He is a member of the Iowa Optometric Association, American Optometric Association and volunteers his time in vision care with Remote Area Medical free clinics. Dr. Huisman, his wife and their Boston Terrier, Jasper, are excited to be settled back in their adopted hometown of Iowa City. Outside of working with patients, some of Dr. Huisman's favorites include being active outdoors, tackling new DIY projects and road trips out West. -
Alex J. Kitzmann, O.D.
Iowa City, Coralville and Kalona Offices
Dr. Kitzmann was born and raised in the Quad City area. He graduated from Pleasant Valley High School and then attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. Kitzmann received his Doctorate in Optometry from the Chicago College of Optometry at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. He recently joined the Eye Associates team in August of 2025 and continues to strive to help all his patients with their vision needs. His interests include spending time with friends and family, playing basketball, golf, boating, and other outdoor activities.
